Oscar Lavën’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Sax

Oscar needs no introduction for regulars to the Wellington music scene, nor for Capital Blues as this band plays each month for us.

Oscar can be heard frequently playing around town, in different styles, all superbly performed.  This time, Oscar is bringing back his raunchy rock ‘n’ roll sax with a few nods to the likes of Sam Butera, King Curtis, and Earl Bostic.

Joining them are the majestic Aleister Campbell (guitar), bodacious Patrick Bleakley (double bass), iron-clad Darren Mathiassen (drums), and diamond-plated Damian Forlong (trombone).

This is always a popular gig. Loads of people dancing ‘n’ grooving.
