This is the first jam night of the year but will also be the last
one (at least for a while) where we will see the club’s
youngest (but now legally entitled to drink alcohol!) member,
Jake Stokes, who’s heading up to Auckland to go to uni! Come
along and join the fun……

Tony Mad Trio: playing Stevie Ray Vaughan
It’s been several years since our old mate, Ant Maddock, has
brought the club the joys of his Stevie Ray Vaughan show so, it’s
with baited breath and ear plugs, we welcome the return of the
Texas blues of Tony and his cohorts!
X-Ray Cats with Wayne Mason & The Fallen Angels
As this is the last gig of the year we thought it would be good to do
something a bit different for you. The Catz will go full on to give
you the festive dancing songs and The Fallen Angels will get the night
underway with some of Wayne’s kiwi classics.

No Idea
Our quiet but ever-popular bass playing regular at the club asked for
a gig for his own band and who were we to say ‘no’ – he’s bigger than
me!! The only stipulation we made was that ‘Big E’ has to step up to
the mic and air his vocal chords as well!!
Rocky, Jackie & Phil – vox;
Kevin & Leva – guitars;
Elliotte – bass (and vox!);
Jonathon – drums
Marg Layton, featuring Bill Lake
As her last appearance at the Bristol in July was so well received, we
thought it only fair that you should have a second chance to catch
Marg and her wonderful band again for a full night’s entertainment.
Marg Layton – vox;
Bill Lake – guitar/vox;
Chris Prowse – guitar;
Patrick Bleakley – upright bass;
Roger Sellers – drums
Jam Night
The last jam night of the year so make sure to come along with your
instrument of choice as there won’t be another jam until the end of
February next year! And for those who prefer to just hang out and
enjoy whatever happens on stage, we need you too! A blues club gig
without an audience just wouldn’t be right!!
Wellington Heads
The Heads take to the stage tonight to play their blend of Louis
Jordan inspired original jump blues and 50`s rhythm & blues ala Ray
Charles. Lots of other styles too taking in Hawaiian guitars, calypso
beats, rural blues and funky New Orleans grooves.
Neil Worboys – vox/ harp/guitar/banjo;
Bill Wood – guitar/vox;
Geoff Keith – bass/vox.
Featuring the Barrett Reefers:
Andrew Richardson – drums;
Nils Olsen – sax;
Nick van Dijk – trombone/trumpet
Del Thomas & The Midnight Ramblers with Mark Lauren
Mark Laurent told us1 that he’s in town and, as he hasn’t played at the
club for a long time, we thought we’d invite him to showcase some of
his new material. Del thought it would be a chance to bring the Martin
back out on stage to play some old blues standards plus some original
material more suited to the acoustic style. There might still be an
electric guitar or two on stage for when the mood is right….
Del T – guitar/vox;
Phil McLaughlin – guitar/vox;
Elliotte Fuimoana – bass;
Mo Phillips – drums
Neil Billington All Star Blues Band
The ever-popular harp playing maestro takes a night to himself to blow
us all away with some superlative harp and vocals plus a fantastic
band which is sure to have you grooving.

Chris Armour -guitar;
Ross McDermott – bass;
Richard Te One – drums
Special Guest: Mike Garner – guitar/vox
