Carol Bean Band
Friday, 9 August 2024 @ 8:30 pm - 11:00 pm
A year ago, Carol Bean was performing at Capital Blues club with Julie Lamb’s ‘Lady Sings the Blues’ and now, Friday, August 9th, she’s back with her own band.
Deane Hunter- guitar, Duncan Haynes- keyboard, Elliott Fuimaono- bass, and Roger Watkins- drums.
Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Carol’s style is Memphis Minnie meets Lucinda Williams. Throw in some Tony Joe White, BB King, Debbie Davies, and Bo Ramsey and you have an idea of her mix of song.
Carol has also been a long-time member of Capital Blues and worked on the committee for ten years so come and support one of our own.
Her previous bands, Blue Highways and The Dirty River Band, played at the Hotel Bristol on a regular basis.
Her three albums are available on all the online formats.

Carol Bean: Crossing the Dirty River (carolbean.com) | Elsewhere by Graham Reid
Bean is an LA-raised country-blues rocker, singer, guitarist. In Crossing the Dirty River (ODE Records, 2010) Bean has a tight, revolving-door band & plays slippery and earthy songs that deliver some serious messages…. With her gritty singing she can shake walls and when the mood drops … she reveals a more intimate, reflective side…. Graham Reid, Auckland NZ
