David Feehan Band

After successfully singing throughout New Zealand, and all over the world, this 70 year old could be excused for hanging up his boots and having a rest. Instead, he recorded a 5thalbum, “5” which crashed into the NZ Album Charts last October, and stayed there for 7 weeks, achieving number 10, filled with his favourite material; a blend of Jazz tinged Blues, R&B and Soul with lots of harmonies and lots of horns.
Backed by the fantastic David Feehan Band and enjoying 6 lead vocalists, they will be performing songs from that album plus some great favourites and including 14, yes 14 new songs for your listening (and dancing) pleasure. Songs by Steely Dan, Buffalo Springfield, Shemekia Copeland, Sharon Jones, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Boz Scaggs, Earth Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, Beverley Knight, Joe Cocker and Michael MacDonald to name a few, plus a great tribute to wonderful Wellington band leader, the late Malcolm Hayman who lead the fabulous top band, Quincy Conserve, and some great Brit and Gospel Blues.
