Oscar Lavën’s Rock n Roll Sax
Friday, 15 November 2024 @ 8:30 pm - 11:00 pm
This is always a high-energy, mucho boogie, fun night.
The energy from the virtuoso bandleader, Oscar Lavën, brings the band to life, and quickly spreads around the room so the audience is dancing and grooving before you know it.
Oscar is an eclectic saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist, is well known around Wellington music venues where he is a full-time live performer, and an international recording artist.
He, along with other top-class local musicians, makes a much-requested return for a special gig of hot, honking, rock ‘n’ roll sax licks. Get ready for great 1950s R&B and blues grooves from saxophonists like Sam Butera, King Curtis, and Earl Bostic.
Oscar will be joined by among others, Aleister Campbell on guitar and vocals, Damien Forlong on trombone, and Patrick Bleakley on bass.
