September Jam Night – MC Warwick Murray

For the September Roomfulla Blues jam the house band is MC’d by Warwick Murray (Strait Shooters, Fabulous Murray Brothers and Crying Shame Band) on vocals, guitar and harmonica, with drums from Andrew Richardson (Jordan Luck Band and Steeleye Span Project) together with Wellington’s bass ace Callum Hazlitt-Black (Julie Lamb Band and Two Smoking Barrels).

The jam night is a chance to bring your songs and play with the house band. Our aim is to promote live blues/roots music through performance, education and marketing, and to foster emerging talent.

Make yourself known to the MC and he’ll fit you in with the other people who come along. We limit jammers to 15 minutes or 3 or 4 songs max. It starts at 8.30 pm but if you arrive early then that’ll give you time to speak to the MC before the music starts. We welcome you to have a go on the floor, or simply enjoy watching the music being created in the spontaneity and feeling of the moment!
