Wednesday Night Jazz Festival Special – Mireya Ramos Band

Latin Grammy-winning artist from New York City with the most skilled, fiercest and best smelling musicians Wellington city has to offer: Paul Mouncey on bass, Ayrton Foote on keys and Hikurangi Schaverien-Kaa on drums, with fellow New York City-based Andy Averbuch on guitar.
Mireya Ramos is of Mexican and Dominican Republic descent, and was marooned in New Plymouth after performing with her quintet Flor de Toloache at WOMAD in March 2020. She has performed at Madison Square Gardens and recorded with the likes of John Legend, Harry Connick Jnr and the Pretender’s Chrissie Hynde.
