Whanganui Blues Buffet featuring Erna Ferry

This week we have some New Zealand blues legends for you. Some of the band members have been playing for thirty years, so they know their stuff!

Hailing from the River City, Whanganui – this mighty blues band features the Loveridge Brothers, who’ve featured in many Wellington bands over the years – Captain Custard, and the 1860 Band to name a couple.

The Blues Buffet started out in 2008 jamming on Sunday afternoons at the Red Lion Tavern in their hometown of Whanganui. Since then, the band has recorded three original albums, appeared playing live on television, and have played a few blues fests along the way. After a hiatus, the band is back playing again.

Playing in an electric style, the band features a repertoire ranging from Tommy Castro, through to Joe Bonnamassa, Robben Ford, Delbert McLinton, and many blues standards.
